Wise or Fool

  1. Introduction
    1. Pro 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
    2. Pro 28:7 Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
    3. 1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
  2. The Wise & Foolish
    1. Mat. 7:24-27
      Matt. 7.24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
      Matt. 7.25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
      Matt. 7.26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
      Matt. 7.27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
    2. Mat. 25:1-12
      Matt. 25.1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
      Matt. 25.2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
      Matt. 25.3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
      Matt. 25.4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
      Matt. 25.5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
      Matt. 25.6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
      Matt. 25.7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
      Matt. 25.8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
      Matt. 25.9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
      Matt. 25.10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
      Matt. 25.11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
      Matt. 25.12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
    3. Pro. 1 & Pro. 4
    4. Pro 16:16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
  3. Manner Of Life
    1. Psalms 37
    2. Psalms 50:22-23
      Psa 50:22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
      Psa 50:23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
    3. Eph. 4 & Eph. 5
    4. Phi 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
    5. Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
    6. 1 Peter 1:15-16
      1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
      1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
  4. Conclusion
    1. Pro 17:24 Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
