- Received from Christ

Gal. 1.12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
John 17.17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
John 17.18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
John 17.19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
- The Church is taught to observe the Commandments of Christ
Matt. 28.18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

I Tim. 3.14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
I Tim. 3.15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
I Cor. 2.10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
I Cor. 2.11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
I Cor. 2.12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
I Cor. 2.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
I Cor. 2.14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
I Cor. 2.15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
I Cor. 2.16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

I John 4.5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
I John 4.6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
Luke 10.16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.
I Thes. 4.8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
- To go beyond is to become disobedient
1Cor. 4.6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.
II John 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

- Prove Spirits
I John 4.1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
I John 4.2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
I John 4.3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
I John 4.4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I John 4.5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

- Be not carried away by strange teaching
Heb. 13.9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

Heb. 13.11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

Heb. 13.15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God
continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Heb. 13.16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Heb. 13.17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Heb. 13.18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

Matt. 16.9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
Matt. 16.10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
Matt. 16.11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
Matt. 16.12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
- Cut off the occasion for false teachers & deceitful workers
II Cor. 11.12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
II Cor. 11.13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
II Cor. 11.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
II Cor. 11.15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
- No fellowship & encouragement to be given to those who walk not according to the Apostles teachings
II Thes. 3.6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

Rom. 16.18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
- Receive not false teachers in your house
II John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
II John 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
