- Introduction (There will be false teachers & doctrines)
- John 10:12-13
John 10.12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
John 10.13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
- I Tim. 4:1-3
I Tim. 4.1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
I Tim. 4.2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
I Tim. 4.3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
- II Tim. 4:1-4
II Tim. 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
II Tim. 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
II Tim. 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears
II Tim. 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
- II Thes. 2:7-12
II Thes. 3.6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
II Thes. 3.7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
II Thes. 3.8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
II Thes. 3.9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
II Thes. 3.10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
II Thes. 3.11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
II Thes. 3.12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
